Royalloween/2023

The Royalloween (also known as Eveningfall or Halloween) event in 2023 began on August 31, 2023, with various seasonal items being brought back on sale. The Royalloween event was released entirely on October 16, 2023.

Royalloween was released in "waves". The first wave brought back all the Halloween items from the previous years that could be purchased with diamonds, and the Rainy Day Classroom was decorated with many Eveningfall themed decorations on September 5, 2023 (originally, it was planned to be updated on September 4, 2023, but was delayed for unknown reasons).

On September 29, 2023, 3 new badges were added to the Royale High game page. Originally they all appeared to have the placeholder question marks, though two were updated later in the day to be the "Royalloween 2023!" and "Beat the Super Scary Maze 2023!" badges. Eventually, the third badge was updated on September 30, 2023, to have a name somewhat obscure like other halo badges.

On October 16, 2023, the rest of the Royalloween Eveningfall update was released. Maps such as Main Campus and School Office were redecorated for the occasion and new candy bowls were placed in certain areas of Campus 3 as a new method of earning candy. The new halo was released, and Wickery Cliffs returned along with an adjusted Super Scary 2023 Maze.

On November 15, 2023, UI that had been decorated for Eveningfall such as the sidebar reverted back to their original appearance. Additionally, candy bowls and candy granting dorm items stopped supplying the candy currency, and the Halloween Teen locker series also stopped generating candy. Despite the Royalloween event being stated to conclude on November 15, 2023, the candy shop items did not go off sale until the November 16, 2023. Additionally, Wickery Cliffs was also kept in the game for a few days until November 19, 2023. Other aspects of Royalloween such as the decorated campus and the shop UI were not removed until December 1, 2023, with the Glitterfrost 2023 event update.

Dark Fairy Halo Eveningfall 2023[]

The Dark Fairy Halo Eveningfall 2023 was released during the October 16, 2023 update as a rare possible reward from the new Halloween fountain stories.

Realms[]

Rainy Day Classroom[]

On September 5, 2023, the Rainy Day Classroom was updated for Halloween by Vioncii and ReddieTheTeddy with various decorations, songs, musical chair arrangements, and other small details hidden around the classroom.

Main Campus[]

On October 16, 2023, the Main Campus was updated for Halloween by the Royale High Team. The sky became darker and the school was transformed into a goth dark purple design. The butterflies flying around were replaced with bats, and the bell sound effect became more eerie. The music played changed to the same music that would be played in Wickery Cliffs. The fountain was also updated to the Fountain of Nightmares with a new Halloween 2023 design of the Fountain Girl. She changed from pink to purple and received dark purple items and her face returning back in a strange way in this update before winning the halo. The guards wore darker costumes and the NPC chat bubble was darkened with spider webs adorning the frame. A candy bowl was added inside the hall of the Main Campus near the Front Office which granted you 50-200 candies per hour (unknown official candy limit for now.)

School Office (Front Office)[]

On October 16, 2023, the School Office was updated and Poppy was dressed-up for this Halloween with a new toggle of the Magical Witch Hat. (Toggle 3) The whole office was also decorated for Halloween, with a "Happy Royalloween" decoration on top of Poppy and many new Halloween textured decorations around.

Some of the dialogues of Upperclassmen Poppy when contacting her were also changed.

"Goodbye for now!" was changed to "Scare for now!" and "Scare ya later!"

School Dorms[]

On October 16, 2023, the School Dorms were updated with new Halloween dorm furniture to buy with candy. A new quest was added for the school dorms where you could trick or treat at people's dorms and get candy and EXP upon completion of the quest.

Locker Courtyard[]

The Locker Courtyard was updated with 4 new locker door decorations that cost 10,000 candy each and came in different colors. These locker decorations gave you free candy over time when equipped in your locker.

Sunset Island[]

Sunset Island was updated, and the Sunset Island Halloween update from last year was reused for this year with the returned Halloween themes while reusing the Tidalglow menu bar from the Summer 2023 update.

Wickery Cliffs[]

Maze[]

The 2023 maze awarded players the Steampunk Aerotechnic Wings. It is located in a cavern in Wickery Cliffs.

Areas[]

Spawn area[]

The town center contained a fountain, a train station, apple bobbing stations, Gemma's Candy Swap, and some buildings. Some chests are hidden in this area. Players were able to sleep in the leaf piles scattered throughout the map.

Neighborhood[]

The neighborhood had many houses that could be trick-or-treated at, along with some roleplay activities in the center and a chest containing 333 candies.

Blackwood Manor[]

Beyond the neighborhood of Wickery Cliffs is a long path that lead to a haunted mansion called “Blackwood Manor”. Here you can hunt ghosts with friends as a way to get candies.

Activities[]

Trick or Treating[]

Players could go up to houses and ring the doorbells to receive 1 to 10 candies. Every house could be rung every 2 minutes (120 seconds), and the same house could not be rung twice in a row.

There is also a low unavoidable chance for a "jumpscare" monster to appear instead and give no candy. The monster will then chase the player for approximately 5 seconds, killing the player if it touches them. The jumpscare monsters can be outran by sprinting or flying away until they despawn. The jumpscare monsters include a doll holding a knife, a vampire, a ghost, a spider, and creepy twins inspired by the ones from The Shining. If the player survives the monster, they are able to knock on the door of the house again and get candy.

Apple Bobbing[]

Around the spawn area are stands to bob for apples. There is a small chance when interacted that the player will successfully get an apple, rewarding 15 candies, but later changed to 25. If the player doesn't get an apple, the game will automatically keep bobbing until an apple is received. A player can only apple bob 10 times per hour.

Gemma's Diamond Exchange[]

Gemma had a stand near the train station where candy could be exchanged for diamonds. The exchange rate is one candy for three diamonds.

While the swap window and stand say Gemma's Diamond Exchange, the intro join window calls it Gemma's Candy Swap.

Ghost Hunting[]

At the end of the hill, players can enter Blackwood Manor, a haunted mansion to hunt ghosts. In the first room, players can grab a ghost gun, night vision goggles, headlamps, and can refill ammo and empty the vacuum. In the second room, players can shoot ghosts to trap them and then stay near them to vacuum them to gain candy. Players can get candy from capturing ghosts or shooting them, and can get teammate bonuses when they assist teammates.

Small changes[]

The sidebar, dialogue boxes, mouse cursor, and other UI was updated with a spooky theme to match the update.
The clock tower had a spooky variation ringing during the event.
The apple bobbing minigame (located in Wickery Cliffs) had a one hour cooldown, and a possibility to win 15 candies, later 25.
The cars in Wickery Cliffs are no longer able to be spawned.
New trick-or-treating quests were added, you can now collect candy in the candy bowls in Campus 3.
The shop layout was changed, with a new spooky look.
New Sparkly Star Achievement for level 475: "Furniture Resizer".
The Rainy Day Classroom’s UI changed from being the new school themed to being Halloween in different servers. (The thumbstick and backpack were not Halloween themed)
The fountain in Wickery Cliffs did not work during this event, unlike previously.
