- Adds
- Short for "additional items". Unspecified miscellaneous extra things added to a trade to fill in gaps of perceived value.
- Auction
- The player is offering an item at a starting price, and players bid increasing amounts against other players for that item. Whoever has the highest bid with no other bids gets the item as long as they pay up.
- Barter
- In the context of Royale High, this refers to trading items between players based on personal wants, and no concern for value or worth.
- Cross-trade
- Also "X-trade". To trade items and/or currency in Royale High for Robux or items and/or currency in another Roblox experience, or sometimes offsite. Cross-trading is almost always a scam, harms the developers of Royale High, and is against the rules of Royale High, most other experiences, and Roblox itself. Participating in a cross-trade can result in an account being banned from trading, Royale High in general, and/or their Roblox account being terminated.
- See Cross-trading on Scams within trading for more information.
- Duplicates / Extras
- Additional undesired copies of an item that a player would really like to get rid of.
- DI
- Stands for "dream item" (refer to Gameplay section), typically used as shorthand when advertising trades in chat or username.
- "DP" ("dream pet") is sometimes also used, as a carry-over from other trading games that often involve pets. This still refers to items when used within Royale High, though.
- Royale High Wiki suggests NOT telling people your dream item in random trading servers, as scammers can and often will use your dream item to make you more willing to be led into a scam. See Scams within trading for more information.
- Exact Offer
- Often shortened to "EO"; an outline of what a player is offering for what they want to an exact, no negotiations. If you do not have exactly Y items for trade, they will not trade X items.
- EV(T)
- Equal/Equivalent Value (Trading); to trade by the purchase price of items as the deemed worth only, and otherwise bartering.
- Exploited item
- An item that has been exploited into a player's inventory, and not earned legitimately. Trading for exploited items may result in the trade being reverted, and knowingly doing so may ban the player from trading or Royale High.
- There is no way to tell an item has been exploited by its visuals or inventory data, unless it is an item completely unobtainable by players. The only way to know if an obtainable item was exploited is if the trade is reverted by Royale High developers.
- H4H
- "Halo For Halo"; offering a halo and only looking for another halo in return (or multiple), sometimes of similar perceived worth.
- Hacked item
- see Exploited item
- IG
- "In-game"; an item that can be currently obtained in Royale High at that moment through gameplay or purchasing it.
- IOP
- "Intentional overpay"; a signifier that one is knowingly overpaying (see Overpay).
- LF
- "Looking for"
- NFT
- "Not for trade"; describes an item that a player has but is not interested in trading, no debate.
- Also sometimes used as interchangeable shorthand for "not trading", e.g. in "EO or NFT".

- Overpay
- To offer way more than the other side of the trade is valued at or more than its perceived worth.
- Paperclip challenge
- Overvaluing scam popularized by influencers to use a single low worth item to get or "trade up to" higher worth items.
- Also known as; paperclip trading, lollipop trading, lollipop to halo (or other expensive item) challenge
- See Paperclip challenge on Scams within trading for more information.
- Proofs
- Testimony and/or evidence from other users that a person successfully followed up on or completed a cross trade or trust trade. Often kept externally on a thread, most often on Twitter.
- These are very often faked by setting up fake trade situations to make a scammer look like they can be trusted; anyone trying to use proofs to get you to cross-trade or trust trade are trying to scam you!
- PV(T)
- Perceived Value (Trading); to trade by perceived, unofficial worth of items, outside of its actual value.
- Revoked
- Refers to a ban specifically from trading issued on a player by the Royale High developers, preventing that player from being able to join the Intergalactic Trading Hub and trade. These are often only ever given to exploiters or those that knowingly work with exploiters.
- Rich server
- A server of the Intergalactic Trading Hub where the majority of current players in the server are perceived to have high worth items.
- SB

- Sometimes also used in regular offer postings to denote a minimum price for something with the expectation that it can or should be more than the minimum, particularly if there are competing offers.
- SO
- "Seeing offers"; The player isn't going to trade the item(s), but would like to know what people would offer for them.
- Shop

- Swap
- To change an item in a trade to a different item, by direction of the trading partner requesting an alternative.
- TB4T/CB4T
- "Talk/Chat before trading"; a player will not accept another player's trade request/not enable trades unless they are approached and talked to first, possibly to check over what the trading interests are.
- Tier list
- Also called a "tier chart" or "ranking [list/chart]". A fan-made list, most often of halos, ranking the worth of some items from supposed most to least. There are no official tier lists.
- These should never be used as a source for worth or values, as they are usually a form of scam when made for that purpose, set up by their creators to project worth to their own benefit only.
- Note: This is sometimes also used in a casual sense to rank items based on the creator's preferences. It is only when it is phrased in the sense of ranking worth or value in which it is likely a scam.
- Trust trade
- Multi-part trade scam, where one player gives their side of the trade and expects (trusts) the other player to follow up on their side of the trade at a later time. Includes borrowing/lending, trade first, cross trades, etc.
- See Trust trading on Scams within trading for more information.
- Underpay
- To offer way less than the other side of the trade is valued at or less than its perceived worth.
- Value
- The purchase price (sometimes specified as the "actual value") of an item. Often incorrectly interchanged with "worth".
- W/F/L
- "Win/Fair/Loss (or Lose)"; also sometimes "W/L" (Win/Loss) and the variant "O/F/U" (Over/Fair/Under). A worth check of a trade to query the balance of the trade's worth where those responding reply with one of the options. Responses may have "S" (for Small) or "B" (for Big) appended before Win or Loss to further specify where the trade fell.
- Worth
- The perceived value separate from the actual value of an item, judged by one's opinion in comparison to things like item rarity and item age.

- XS
- "No Swaps / Not Swapping." (see Swap)

These are no longer used in events since they cannot be managed by the developers.

Other community terms & references
- AFK farmers
- Players that AFK farm (see AFK farming in "Gameplay" section").
- Bag quest
- An infamous quest (see Quests in "Gameplay" section") from the New Years 2021 event, notorious for being hard (and for a time impossible) to complete due to bugs, accessibility and visibility issues, and massive lag. Later referenced consistently by the developers in future realms and events, and returned partially fixed in the New Years 2022 event.
- Beggars
- Often misspelled as "beggers". In reference to minigames, refers often to people asking desperately to be voted in Sunset Island's pageant or the Current Campus ball. In reference to trading, refers to players constantly asking for a certain item from a player despite their offer being declined.
- Boy trolling
- Refers to fem-identifying players that roleplay as male/masculine-presenting characters in a provocative manner in an attempt to troll other players.
- IngIngIng
- Alien noises, because Royale High has an alien thing going on.
- Jake
- Often referring to a type of roleplayer playing a "boy character" most often as the "attractive jock", to where some other roleplayers playing characters interested in men will follow around the player or change part of their nickname noting that they "like" (are interested) in them, though the player being followed likely has no awareness or interest in romance roleplaying. Often a subject of portrayal in boy trolling (see Boy trolling).
- Kettle art
- To use the kettle item in the Apartments and the apartment recoloring feature to make pictures or words out of kettles.
- Kettle raid
- To use the kettle item in the Apartments to fill the apartment surfaces with kettles, usually in another player's private server (and very commonly of a content creator's private server).
- Kidnapping
- A now-impossible practice where the Reindeer Ride or Ice's UFO were used to pick up players (typically AFK ones) unwillingly and pull them to random parts of the map, or out of bounds to kill them. This is now impossible due to these items being updated with prompts required to ride them, making it impossible to pick up players if they did not choose to be picked up.
- Also sometimes known as "reindeer trolling" or "UFO trolling".
- Mochi
- Also referred to as a "Tokyo" or "smol bean". Often referring to a type of player (sometimes a roleplayer) with stereotypically "extreme cute but edgy" outfits and using text faces/emoticons ("OwO", "TwT", etc.), notorious for sometimes using names with random Japanese words, most infamously "Mochi" or "Tokyo", and other fetishization and misappropriation of Japanese culture. Sometimes more specifically meant to refer to players that fit this definition that are claiming to be Japanese.
- In older eras of Royale High's community, excluding the Japanese culture aspects, these were widely referred to as "Alex" players.
- OwnUpBarbie
- Also sometimes referred to as the "February 2022 incident" or "BHM 2022 incident", and occasionally abbreviated as "OUB" or "OWB".
- Refers to a hashtag on Twitter (and events in the community that occurred in relation to it) started by content creators in the Royale High Twitter Community in February 2022 to call upon callmehbob/Barbie (and in some cases, also Launce) to take responsibility for various issues in Royale High (of the developers' fault) relating to racism, anti-LGBTQ rhetoric, and cultural appropriation, after internal issues regarding the development of the Black History Month [BHM] and Lunar New Year [LNY] portions of the Valentines 2022 event were publicised. The tag culminated in multiple developers denying or downplaying the issues, and Launce spending multiple hours streaming (starting without any information beforehand) to poorly handle the situation. Later on, Barbie, Launce and other Royale High developers 'acknowledged' the conerns, and promised these issues would be looked into.
- As of now, barely any of the issues have been addressed, and any attempts to bring up the issues again (or new issues) that get traction are often silenced or distracted from, including some instances where the RoyaleHighValks Twitter account has blocked community members and/or removed them from various influencer programs for asking for accountability of the Royale High developers in public mediums.
