The journal is a feature added on June 17, 2020, to replace the "profile" feature.
Its function is similar to the profile and is still accessed by going to "Dress up" and clicking the "profile" option on the customization sidebar. By clicking on someone else's in-game avatar, a player is shown the front cover of their journal, which shows the player's roleplay name, profile picture (see Customization), Royale Age (the amount of time since they first joined the game; this may be inaccurate), and Roblox username, with the option to view their journal (Open Journal) or ask them to trade, which can only be done successfully in the Intergalactic Trading Hub. Inside the front cover, the player's earned badges can be viewed.
To write in the journal, the provided questions must be dragged from the right of the screen, dropped anywhere on the journal, and then answered on the next line. There are 14 provided pages that can be filled and customized.
There are a total of 75 questions that can be chosen from and added to the journal as areas to write in.
The Journal can be customized by editing the profile picture, or by purchasing the Sticker Packs Pass or Paintbrush Pass gamepasses.
Before customizing the image, the default image is of the player's Roblox avatar. By clicking it, the player can change it by choosing one of the provided images (Browse Profile Photos) or by pasting their own Decal ID.
There are 18 total themed sticker packs with about 9 stickers each (with the exception of the Halos Pack, which has 15, and the Zodiac and Birthstone Packs, which has 12 each), all provided by ixchoco_. They are only available for use to those who own the Sticker Packs Pass gamepass. The themes are:
- School Spirit
- The Sets
- Pastel Goth
The Sticker Packs Pass! can be bought for R$50.
With the Paintbrush Pass, a player can choose to recolor any part of the whole journal. The Paintbrush Pass can be bought for R$300. The places that can be customized are the journal cover, rings and button text, badges and cover border, inside badges and cover border, cover text, pages, lines, questions, and answers.
