The Christmas Event 2018 was presented to the public on the 2nd of December, a few days after the developer, callmehbob, tweeted previews on her personal Twitter (nightbarbie) on the works of the winter update.

Santa's Presents
In the cabin located down the street, there is a stack of trays where players are able to decorate and add cookies onto. A few minutes later, Santa will drop down from the chimney, eat the cookies, and add presents around the room for players to open. Players may only open one present each time Santa arrives.
Many people complain that they do not receive a present from Santa, however the gift is not automatically given to you, you must search the room for a present and stand on it. After that a present will appear on your screen which you click to open, after clicking it will tell you what present you have received. The item will then be in your inventory.
The tray does not have to be completely filled for Santa to come
