The bubbles minigame is an in-game gameplay event that occurs in all realms within Royale High (excluding Battle a la Royale). It was added partially on February 3, 2020 and fully on February 4, 2020. It was updated on February 7, 2020 to function more effectively and fix bugs.

The game occurs at random intervals regardless of what the player is doing and lasts until the task is completed. Three randomly-colored bubbles appear on the screen and move around approximately every second, and the player is prompted to pop (click or touch) all of them for a prize. When the player pops all the bubbles, they are rewarded with up to 100 diamonds.

If the game is not completed, players will be locked out from moving or earning diamonds until they complete it.

The minigame is a measure against methods of evading Roblox's 20-minute timeout limit such as auto clickers and other macros to stay in game, such as for AFK diamond farming.[1]

Originally, the minigame was added on February 3, 2020. It was originally added only in the apartments, and then added in all other realms on February 4, 2020.

Prior to February 7, 2020, the minigame had a 2 minute time limit, and not completing it would disconnect the player from the game.

On February 6th, planned revisions to the game were announced.[2] Some form of these revisions were implemented on February 7, 2020. These revisions also fixed issues the minigame had on release, such as being entirely unusuable on Xbox, not rendering over the shop UI, and preventing people from going legitimately AFK at all.

Additional changes were proposed to make the game able to be disabled to aid video creators, but that it would also prevent them from collecting any diamonds.[3]
